Event description
The 10-session live, online Green Thumb Gardening class series offers in-depth and engaging gardening information on a variety of topics. From starting seeds to composting to managing insect pests, this gardening class series will help home and community garden vegetable gardens to thrive. Speakers will include Extension Horticulture Educators and UW–Madison Dept. of Extension campus outreach specialists.
All gardeners from the novice to the experienced are welcome. You can take the whole series for a discounted price or select individual classes. You will receive electronic access to the lecture slides and any other handouts and access to the video recordings for 6 months.
Recordings will be available for past classes. Links to recordings and handouts will arrive by email immediately after you register and be available to you through 10/15/2025.
Dates/Times
Thursdays 5:30-7:30 pm CST, except February 12. Full descriptions for individual classes are available when you register or on our Green Thumb webpage. If you missed being able to purchase the live class, recordings of classes will be available for purchase after the classes are held, up until 2 weeks after the last class.

Cost
Register for the complete class series at a discounted price ($100.00) or individual classes ($12.00) according to your interests. Limited scholarships are available in cases of financial need. Contact Sarah Cowen for more information.
