See information in the Dane County Fair Premium Book – Swine Department

All barrows & gilts must be identified by breed and ear notch identification at the County Spring Swine Registration, April 19 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the 4-H Extension Office.

Failure to provide ear notch information will prevent registration of that animal. Additional details will be announced on the Dane County Fair website. All swine registered will be provided with an RFID tag to be placed in the ear by the exhibitor or their representative. The records of the official ear notch and RFID tag will be verified at the Fair weigh-in. The information at weigh-in must match that provided at registration for the animal to be eligible to show. If an exhibitor is found to be swapping animals he/she will forfeit premiums, Meat Animal Sale income, and be banned from exhibiting at the Dane County Fair for two years. It is illegal, by state law, to remove RFID tags.

All registration material must be returned or delivered (not postmarked) to Richard Straub, 292 Glenway Road, Brooklyn, WI 53521 on or before May 3, 2025. Failure to provide this will result in loss of exhibiting privileges.
