Clinician: Megan Sacia

Clinic Objective: The purpose of this clinic is to help participants practice some skills such as
transitions, cadence, balance, and gaits for English pleasure as well as Equitation riding in a group
setting with rail work and individual patterns. Participants will ride in the following groups and are
limited to 10 riders per session.

Session 1 – 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Walk Trot Equitation and Pleasure – Limited or some experience
with walk and trot transitions and proper diagonals but are still developing skills, or
intermediate/advanced riders that have novice/green horses. Review show ring etiquette.

Session 2 – 1:45 PM – 3:15 PM Beginner Equitation and Pleasure – Limited or some experience
with walk, trot, canter transitions and proper leads but are still developing skills and leaning pattern
work. Review show ring etiquette.

Session 3 – 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM Intermediate/Advanced Equitation and Pleasure – Intermediate
or advanced skill level to include riding rail work and patterns at a work, trot, canter, using leg yields,
riding circles and 360 degree pivots. Review show ring etiquette.



2024 COGGINS: A Original and one copy is required the day of the clinic to participate.
Proper attire is required for participants: Boots, long pants, and SEI approved helmet.

A registration form must be completed and submitted. Please submit one form for each
participant even if the horse/pony is shared.
Auditors DO NOT need to pre-register but must sign in on the “Auditors” sheet at the clinic.

This is a pre-registration clinic: if you need to cancel from the clinic, you must contact the clinic
coordinator at least 48 hours prior to the start of the clinic. If you do not, double the hours that you
signed up for will be deducted from your educational hours.
