These meetings are for anyone who is already very comfortable and confident with crocheting single crochet (or other more advanced stitches).
These meetings are for anyone who is already very comfortable and confident with crocheting single crochet (or other more advanced stitches). As with all of the previous Beyond Beginner meetings we will be learning about granny squares. In particular, at this last meeting of the school year, we will be learning how to connect our granny squares together. So if you have granny squares and your project idea (bag, hat, etc.) please bring them. along with any desired yarn and corresponding crochet hook. We will still be prepared and ready to show you how to create granny squares so please come even if you do not have completed squares ready for stitching together. If desired, everyone can also bring any desired worsted weight yarn and corresponding crochet hook (usually sizes G, H or I). Additional yarn and hooks will be available for a small fee or to borrow during the meeting.
Bring worsted weight yarn of your choosing and a size G, H or I crochet hook. Some yarn and crochet hooks will be available for purchase or to borrow. We will share granny square patterns during each meeting to allow for participant choice.
Students in grades 3-5 should attend with an adult.
Want to share your love of crochet with new people? Confident in your crochet skills? Consider being a leader at a future Beginner Crochet Project meeting. Contact Tara tlvondollen@gmail.com or Lisa curley.lisa@danecounty.gov if you are interested.
