Need last minute holiday ornaments, package toppers or decor items? Join us for a crochet meeting to learn to make trees and stars! Attendees must be confident (no help required) with chain stitch and single crochet. The patterns use double crochet, half double crochet and treble crochet but these are easy to learn if you are comfortable and confident doing single crochet on your own.

What to bring: holiday spirit! Plus scissors and darning/yarn needle if you have them. If desired, yarn of your choice- both projects call for worsted weight (size 4) yarn and G and/or I hooks. The tree pattern calls for Red Heart Granny Square All in One yarn, which has a self striping feature to make each round a different color. One ball (8.8 oz/250g; 417 yds) will make 14 tree ornaments. However, any worsted weight yarn will work for either pattern, and G or I hooks will work for either pattern as well.

Need to borrow supplies? We have you covered! We will have various colors of worsted weight yarn and some size G, H  and I hooks to purchase ($3-5 each). We will have scissors and darning/yarn needles to share. Students in grades 3-5 should attend with an adult.

Want to share your love of crochet with new people? Confident in your crochet skills? Consider being a leader at a future Beginner Crochet Project meeting. Date(s) TBD. Contact Tara or Lisa if you are interested.
