It’s a chance to bring essential resources to Dane County residents while developing your skills in program coordination, event management, and community engagement. As the Tax Assistance Program Coordinator, you’ll be helping people navigate an often stressful tax season by coordinating educational programs and ensuring access to reliable, supportive Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services.
What You’ll Gain:
- Hands-On Experience: Coordinating public programming, developing partnerships with community organizations, and sharpening your skills in program coordination and event management.
- Direct Community Impact: Your work will make tax assistance services more accessible, helping individuals and families gain the support they need.
- Flexible Schedule: Work up to 40 hours per week from December 2024 to April 2025. Hours available weekdays and most Saturdays when tax site is open starting in late January. Enjoy a balance between flexibility and impactful work!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in fields such as finance, social work, education, or community development.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for occasional offsite events.
