Are you interested in learning how a poultry hatchery operates? This is your opportunity to get a behind the scenes tour! Join us at Wolff Farm’s Hatchery to learn about egg traying, hatching and candling processes. This will be a tour of the hatchery and a great time to ask questions. There will be chicken and turkey eggs available so youth can practice candling. There will not be any started birds on the property during the tour.
To keep the hatchery safe, please do not wear shoes/boots or clothing that have been in contact with your poultry flocks.
All youth must be accompanied by an adult.
No need to pre-register, no cost.
This is an approved education event for Dane County Fair poultry participants.
Event Location
6618 Henry Road. From Verona Road: get off at the exit to Paoli and then hit Hwy 69 south. It is just a short distance 3/10 mile until you reach Basco, take a left turn into Basco on Henry Road (the only road through Basco) follow Henry until you come to the farm on the left. We have our farm sign at the end of our driveway-Wolff Farm’s Hatchery. Drive down the driveway until you see a gray front building which is our hatchery. There will be parking on the side of the hatchery and down our drive. Call 608-712-7336 if you get lost.
