Composting Resources

Dane County Extension has offered periodic Composter Trainings to provide training for anyone who wishes to teach others about home composting, including backyard composting and vermicomposting.

Master Composter Class activity

Currently, Extension is revamping the composting curriculum and we plan to offer the next training in the Fall of 2022. To receive updates on when the next training will be, please sign up for our composting email list. The program will be designed specifically to provide basic knowledge, skills and tools for people who want to teach others about composting. Participants will then be asked to pledge to help organize and teach home composting or demonstration displays.
