June 25th - August 6th, 2021
Starting on Friday, June 25th, youth will meet for 6 weeks, every Friday at 11am for virtual Fun with Foods Lessons via Zoom. Students will learn about the basics of nutrition while also tasting a fusion of fun flavors. Recipes are kid-friendly and will not require stove tops, ovens, etc. Parental guidance is suggested for the prepping of some produce, prior to lessons.
Recommended for grades 3rd-6th. Ingredients will need to be provided by each family or through a community agency if applicable. The recipes are designed to be accommodating to dietary needs.
FoodWIse education is funded by the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – SNAP and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program – EFNEP.
