Meet Carlie Chandler, the newest member of the Dane County Extension team, serving as an Educational Program Coordinator in the Families and Finances department. Carlie is dedicated to expanding access to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax assistance to low-income individuals and families throughout Dane County. Her work plays a crucial role in supporting financial well-being and economic empowerment within the community.
Carlie holds a B.S. in Psychology from Edgewood College and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. With over five years of experience working with youth and families in the Madison Metropolitan School District, Carlie is deeply committed to education, youth development, and fostering community engagement. Her expertise and passion for helping others make her a valuable asset to the Families and Finances team.
Outside of work, Carlie enjoys staying active by playing volleyball and pickleball with friends, attending concerts and sporting events, and unwinding with a good book or binge-watching the latest TV shows. We’re thrilled to have Carlie on board and look forward to the positive impact she will have on the Dane County community!
