Nadia Alber joins the Dane County Extension as the 4-H Associate Educator.

Nadia Alber, 4-H Associate Educator

Nadia has worked with kids and young adults (K-12) for a long time, and her primary interests are experiential learning, livestock farming, and kids. After graduating from college in 2004, until she started graduate school in 2009, Alber taught in private and public schools, on farms, at outdoor education centers, and in after-school programs around the country. She received an M.S. in Environment & Resources from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at UW-Madison in 2011. Most recently, UW-Madison employed Alber as Director of the Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy & Livestock Farmers (WSBDF), a part of the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems. Additionally, Alber owns and manages a small, diversified organic farm in Iowa County, Wisconsin, with her husband and two young children.
