The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension seeks an innovative and community-focused, asset-based educator for the position of Family Engagement & Relationships Extension Educator. This educator will work with Dane County families in transition including justice involved families, those with limited financial resources, and others to maintain family ties and build resiliency. This position has an emphasis in the Parenting and Family Relationships Program with a primary focus on:
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating the programming and activities for families in Dane County involved in local justice systems including Parenting from the Inside Out, the Literacy Link program, financial education and more.
- Leading and teaching Division of Extension education curriculum that strengthens families with a focus on justice-involved families, supporting family relationships and building financial literacy.
- Expanding access to the full range of Extension educational programming for all families, particularly in communities that are underrepresented such as racial minorities and those from low-income households.
- Linking community family serving organizations to university resources or directly providing parenting and family training to organizations.
