Partnership with UW-Madison Social Work Program Strengthens Dane Youth Programs

Amanda Hutchins

Amanda Hutchins is the fifth MSW intern to spend a year working with the Dane County Positive Youth Development team. She will work alongside our educators to learn, lead, and support the 4-H and By Youth For Youth (BYFY) programs.

My name is Amanda Hutchins, I am in the UW-Madison Masters in Social Work (MSW) program and also the new intern here at UW-Extension! This will be my first year in Madison, and I am very excited to be a part of this team. I was born and raised in Alaska, where most of my immediate family still lives, and spent time in Washington State and Missouri during my undergrad. I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2018 from Central Methodist University where I played collegiate basketball. When I am not working or at school I enjoy listening to music, being in the outdoors, and hanging out with family and friends. I am very grateful that I have been given the opportunity, through UW-Madison, to work with Extension in Dane County!
